What you'll need

Tools & Materials

Additional materials needed for this project:
- Tussock grass
- Spare wood
- Pencil
- Hammer
- Nails
- Scissors
- Safety glasses
- Wire cutters
- Glue gun
- Faux plants of choice
- Easter decorations of choice
Prepare the base
Draw a heart shape on a spare piece of wood. Next, hammer pairs of nails along the outside of the heart you just drew, spacing them about 3cm apart.
Make the heart frame
Place the tussock grass or bendable stems on one half of the heart shape. Then, add the grass to the other side to complete the heart shape.
Secure the heart shape using pieces of the Jack jute twine. The amount you need depends on the size of your wreath but secure it at various points of the heart shape.
Wrap the Jack twisted paper along the entire heart frame, knotting it as you go. This makes the heart frame more secure and durable.
Time to add the animal netting
Unroll the Jack animal netting and place the heart wreath on top. This will guide you with how much is needed. Allow for an extra 10cm along the circumference of the heart. Wearing safety goggles and safety gloves, use wire cutters to cut the Jack animal netting.
While wearing safety gloves, wrap the animal netting around the heart frame. Use the Jack jute twine to secure it in place.
Add a stylish shelf
Use a glue gun to secure a spare light piece of wood to the flat part of the heart frame.
Wait for it to dry.
Time for the finishing touches
Give your wreath a fresh touch with a leafy garland. Secure it in place with the Jack jute twine. Add faux flowers by threading the stems through the Jack animal netting and tying them in place. Complete the look with your favourite Easter decorations.
Let's hang it up
Whether on your door or placed against your wall, this DIY wreath is a fun way to style Easter your way. If you’d like to hang it, cut a piece of Jack Jute tree webbing to hang your wreath. Fold it in half, wrap the folded end around the top of the heart and tie the loose ends in a knot at the bottom to create a secure loop for hanging.
